The short version
Plus One Party (“Plus One Party,” “we,” “us”) is a free service operated by XN Digital LLC that helps people grow a party invite chain. We collect only what we need to make that work: the party’s details, the name, Instagram handle, and phone number of each guest who joins, and the host’s email address. We don’t sell your information.
Information we collect
Party details. When someone creates a party, we store its title, theme, date, headcount goal, and the optional location and event details the host provides. The host also gives an email address so we can send them their management links and progress updates.
Member details.When you join a chain, we store the name, Instagram handle, and phone number you enter, and a record of who invited you (so the chain can be displayed). Your phone number is shared with the party’s host so they can text you details — it is never shown to other guests.
Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps for security and reliability. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
We do not ask for or store passwords or payment information, and there are no user accounts. The host email and guest phone numbers described above are the only contact details we collect.
How we use information
We use the information you provide to:
• Run the party chain — show who’s in, how everyone is connected, and whether the headcount goal has been reached.
• Generate the personal invite links that let the chain grow.
• Email the host their management links and updates as guests join.
• Show guests’ phone numbers to the host so they can coordinate the party (for example, texting the address). The host reaches out using their own device — when they tap to text a guest, the message is sent through their phone’s SMS app or WhatsApp, not by us.
• Keep the service secure, debug problems, and prevent abuse.
What others can see
Plus One Party is built to be shared. The name and Instagram handle you provide are visible to others viewing the same party chain — that’s how the invite works. Please don’t enter information you don’t want other guests to see. Your phone number is not public: it is shared only with the party’s host. Host-only details (the host management link and the host’s email) are kept private to the host.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of trusted vendors to operate the service, including our hosting and database providers and our email provider (currently Vercel, Supabase, and Resend). They process data on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services to us.
Data retention
We keep party and member data for as long as a party is active and for a reasonable period afterward. You can ask us to delete a party or your information at any time by contacting us at the address below.
Your choices
You can choose not to provide information by not joining a chain. If you’ve already joined and want your name removed, email us and we’ll take care of it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access or delete your personal information; contact us to exercise them.
Children
Plus One Party is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we’ll remove it.
Changes
This is a free service today. If we add paid features in the future, we may update this policy to describe any new data practices. When we make material changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
